Background

Now that we have approved the general documentation criteria and those for the individual disciplines, we should do the fine-tuning on the rest of the individual discipline chapters. This concerns the general section and the section on the individual categories.

The IUF Slalom will be moved to the Track Technical Disciplines!

Proposal

Old Rule:

3 STANDARD TRACK RECORDS

3.1 GENERAL
Standard track records are held on a 400m Athletics Track, using a standard unicycle, unless otherwise specified. It may be set as part of a race or as an individual attempt. All records are set from a stationary start.

3.1.3 Unicycles used in standard track records
The unicycle must comply with the definitions set according to section 2.2 of the IUF Rulebook.

3.2 STANDARD TRACK RECORD CATEGORIES
3.2.1 100m
This is the fastest unicycle ride over a 100m distance.
3.2.2 200m
This is the fastest unicycle ride over a 200m distance.
3.2.3 400m
This is the fastest unicycle ride over a 400m distance.
3.2.4 800m
This is the fastest unicycle ride over a 800m distance.
3.2.5 30m Wheel Walk
This is the fastest ride over a 30m distance whilst wheel-walking.
3.2.6 50m One Foot
This is the fastest ride over a 50m distance using only one foot on the pedal.
3.2.7 IUF slalom
This is the fastest ride over the standard IUF slalom course.
3.2.8 4 x 100m relay
This is the record for the IUF discipline 4 x 100m.
Relay records are recognised in three gender categories, i.e. all-male, all-female and mixed.
3.2.9 4 x 400m relay
This is the record for the IUF discipline 4 x 400m.
Relay records are recognised in three gender categories, i.e. all-male, all-female and mixed.

 

 

New Rule:

3 Track Racing Records

3.1 General

1. Track Racing Records are recognized in the official IUF Track Racing Disciplines according to section 2 of the IUF Rulebook.
2. Only records on standard unicycles will be recognized; there will be no subdivision into wheel classes.
3. Proof of compliance with the requirements of the IUF Rulebook and these Guidelines for venue, distance, timing and, if necessary, wind measurement, as well as compliance with the competition rules of the discipline in question, must be provided for each record.
4. All Track Racing Records are kept rounded up to the closest 0.01 s.

3.2 Track Racing Discipline specific Documentation Criteria

3.3 Track Racing Record Categories

3.3.1 100 m
1. Record for the IUF Track Racing Discipline 100 m.
3.3.2 200 m
1. Record for the IUF Track Racing Discipline 200 m.
3.3.3 400 m
1. Record for the IUF Track Racing Discipline 400 m.
3.3.4 800 m
1. Record for the IUF Track Racing Discipline 800 m.
3.3.5 50 m One Foot
1. Record for the IUF Track Racing Discipline 50 m One Foot.
3.3.6 30 m Wheel Walk
1. Record for the IUF Track Racing Discipline 30 m Wheel Walk.
3.3.7 4 x 100 m Relay
1. Record for the IUF Track Racing Discipline 4 x 100 m.
2. This record is recognised in three gender categories, i.e. all-male, all-female and mixed.
3.3.8 4 x 400 m Relay
1. Record for the IUF Track Racing Discipline 4 x 400 m.
