Proposal 35: Finalizing structure of chapter 7 (Urban: Jump Records) [ Revision 1 ]
Committee: Review and Update the GuidelinesSubmitted on 2025-05-15
Status: Review from May 15, 2025 to May 20, 2025
Background
Now that we have approved the general documentation criteria and those for the individual disciplines, we should do the fine-tuning on the rest of the individual discipline chapters. This concerns the general section and the section on the individual categories.
Almost all of the aspects currently listed in the individual categories have now been integrated into the documentation criteria and should herefore be deleted from the individual categories. I would also move the remaining aspects regarding the measurement and observation of the long jump to the documentation criteria.
Proposal
Old Rule:
7 URBAN: JUMP RECORDS
7.1 GENERAL
These are jump records for the urban jump disciplines.
7.2 JUMP RECORD CATEGORIES

A High Jump over Bar is from level ground over a bar, and must fit with the rules set out in the IUF Rulebook.
High Jump over Bar records are rounded down to the closest 0.01m. Measuring should be from the ground level to the top of the cross bar at its lowest point. Precision should be to +/- 1mm using certified measuring instruments. The attempt must be made on flat, solid, level ground. The methodology of the measuring should be submitted with record submission and should include the methods used for determining the lowest point of the bar.
